My name is Kyra Waletich. This is my first-year teaching at Central Lyon, but prior to teaching I was a paraeducator for four years in the same special education classroom I currently teach. I recently completed my schooling with William Penn University out of Oskaloosa, IA. I started teaching full-time at Central Lyon in January of 2023. Mrs. Waletich is my formal name at school, but you will hear the students call me Mrs. K instead! That is what the students called me when I was a paraeducator and it stuck! I have lived in Rock Rapids all my life. My husband, Kyle, and I live in town with our four children, Lily, Jack, Elaina, and Thane. We love our hectic schedule filled with sports, boating, camping, and playing all sorts of board games on family game night! I am excited for this new adventure!
