The first grades have filled up Stripey! They have been doing an awesome job of following directions in and out of the classroom. In the hallway we have been working on walking with our voices quite, hands at our side, and walking in a straight line. At recess we have been working on getting along with our classmates and our other friends in school. In the classroom, they have been working very hard and very quietly. One way to sum up why these first graders deserve to have these special days is by telling you our class promise. Miss Holtgrewe's class recites their class promise every morning before school starts to remind them of our rules in the classroom. The first graders, with the help of Miss Holtgrewe, created this promise the first day of school.
In our classroom; we treat each other with respect,
are honest, listen when others are talking, raise our hands
before talking, walk and work quietly, and we are kind.
The first graders show Miss Holtgrewe that they can do these things every day. In the classroom we always try our best and work our hardest.
