This year I began implementing Daily 3 Math Centers into the classroom. It derives from the Daily 5 reading centers. Math Daily 3 is a framework for structuring math time so students develop deep a deeper understanding of the subject area of math.

Students select from three choices, working independently toward their individual goals, while the teacher meets individual needs through whole-group and small-group instruction, as well as one-on-one conferring.

Students select from these three choices: 

• Math by Myself
• Math Writing
• Math with Someone

Math Daily 3 classrooms produce productive, highly engaged students who are developing a true love for math.
