Lion Kids of Character

2018-2019

April

Central Lyon students have been hard at work demonstrating positive behavior choices. Students have the opportunity to earn ROAR cards daily by Respecting All, Offering Help, Accepting Responsibility, and Reaching Expectations. When a student earns a ROAR card, the card is put into a classroom container. Classroom teachers draw a name out of the that container weekly to earn a reward or privilege within the classroom.  On Friday afternoons, the ROAR cards are put together in a large community tub displayed in the office hallway. Mr. Harman then draws 6 cards out to highlight students who were showing Roaring good behaviors. These students are recognized and earn a certificate.

The Central Lyon Community School District offers career and technical programs in the following areas of study: Business Education, Family & Consumer Sciences Education, Industrial Arts Education and Vocation Agriculture Education. It is the policy of the Central Lyon Community School District not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, creed, age (for employment), marital status (for programs), sexual orientation, gender identity and socioeconomic status (for programs) in its educational programs and its employment practices. Inquiries or grievances may be directed to the Superintendent, Central Lyon CSD, 1010 S. Greene St., Rock Rapids, IA 51246, (712) 472-2664, superintendent@centrallyon.org.
