Robots in Action
The Middle and High School Robotics teams participated in their 2nd Northwest Iowa Robotics meet at Trinity Christian High School in Hull. All three teams had great showings at the meet. The NW Iowa Robotics League allows for students to think ‘out of the box’ and use skills not used in the regular classroom. The students learn how to not only work cooperatively with their own team, but with other teams they may build an alliance with during the meet. The students also learn how to use high levels of creativity, building and engineering skills, and learn the importance of professionalism with other teams and coaches . Adding a Middle School team to an already successful program led by Mr. Bill Allen, shows how our instructors, district, and administrators are always trying to find ways to engage our students at all levels. Our next meet will be in LeMars on December 15th. (Check out the Slide Show at the top of the article)
