Little House Literature
Skyping with Mrs. Foltz
During the third grade year, students will read two of Laura Ingalls Wilder's books. Little House in the Big Woods, first semester, and Little House on the Prairie, second semester. We do many activities that relate to these books. Fridays are devoted to this literature reading and it's activities.
We have been enjoying reading Little House in the Big Woods this fall with Mrs. Foltz. We have the opportunity to Skype with Mrs. Foltz on Fridays.
As a culminating activity (as funds allow), the third graders will take a trip to DeSmet, SD, one of Laura's homes, to reinforce what they have read through out the year.
