PE 7-12 | Strength & Conditioning
After 29 years of teaching in the elementary gym, I have really enjoyed the move up to the high school Physical Education/Strength and Conditioning program. It is great to be able to work with most of the kids who I started working with in kindergarten PE. The high school Strength and Conditioning classes have added a section from last year and we now have 3 of them. As a coach who has been at Central Lyon for 30 years, I know how long athletics has worked to get strength and conditioning classes into our curriculum, and now with our state of the art facility it has become reality. The kids work hard and it makes life easier for those out for athletics to free up their time before school and after practices. My goal in Physical Education and in Strength and Conditioning is that the students get plenty of activity , learn the value of hard work and also learn to get along with a wide variety of people and personalities. I think it is important for each and every kid to walk out of this class with a smile on their face, and the feeling that they got something accomplished and had a good day.
