Anatomy's hospital tour
The anatomy class had the opportunity to tour Avera in Rock Rapids. The staff for all departments were fabulous and we would like to thank each and every one of them!!

On November 18, 2019 the Central Lyon Anatomy and Physiology class took a trip to the Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids. The students split into three groups and toured throughout the hospital. The students visited several different areas including the operating room, gastrointestinal, sterile processing, inpatient, emergency room, pharmacy, clinic, physical therapy, lab, and radiology. The students learned about roles of different job opportunities throughout the hospital from surgery to administration, as well as what certain employees do.
