Human Anatomy and Physiology
In HAP we learn anatomy (pieces and parts) and physiology (function). This class has a lot of terminology and memorization but is very helpful for any student who plans to go into any sort of health care, from doctor to sports training.
We will learn all the bones in the body, lots of muscles, and the function of several of the 11 organ systems in the human body. It is always fascinating to learn how all the parts work together to get the job done.
On Wednesday, April 18 we will be visiting Briar Cliff and their biology department's cadaver lab. This is always a favorite trip with the students and it is very beneficial for them to see if a health related field is right for them.
