Seussical The Musical

2016

"Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved come together on stage!

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of people who don’t believe they exist and other dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, his loyal friend, Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

"I have been a part of the fall musical for all four years of high school. Even though performing and practicing can be stressful, the musicals have brought me so close to the entire cast. We laugh together and have a good time, but we also have been drawn closer through rough times and stress.  Each year, the cast becomes a family. I am extremely grateful for the experiences the musicals have provided me."
