Learning About Our Local Government
The last chapter we covered in 5th grade social studies talked about the different levels of government (federal, state, and local). Today we had the opportunity to get a tour of our county courthouse here in Rock Rapids. Students learned about the different departments that our courthouse has and got to meet some of our elected officials. A big thank you to Shayne Mayer and Eldon Kruse for taking time out of your schedule to show us around.
