Grease
2018
Grease the Musical, written by Jim Kacobs and Watren Casey is the timeless classic that tells the story of Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski who fall in love in the summer of 1959 and part ways thinking they’ll never see each other again. However, fate throws them back together when they both end up at Rydell High School.
Danny is the head of the Burger Palace Boys and though he is still in love with Sandy, he wants to maintain his “cool” status. Sandy struggles to understand his “too cool for school attitude”, while she tries to find a place to fit in.
In the end, Danny, Sandy and their friends discover that their relationships with each other are the most important thing and that they need to make the most of their time in high school.
The biggest difference between the stage version and the movie version is in the music. The story line is the same, but there are several songs that were composed specifically for the movie that are not in the stage version including, “Grease, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Sandy and You’re the One That I Want”. We have made a special request and paid for the rights to perform the song, “You’re the One That I Want” since it is the most popular song from the show.
