Jackie Wells, School Business Official

My name is Jackie Wells and I am the School Business Official for the Central Lyon School District. I am responsible for the finances of the school district including payroll & employee benefits, the annual budget, accounts receivable/accounts payable, various federal and state reporting requirements and a variety of other things.

I have been with the district since October, 2004. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Finance from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD.  I've worked in banking, accounting and finance prior to my role here.

I am also Secretary to the Board of Education. Our meetings are open to the public and held every 2nd Monday in the board room at 1010 S Greene Street in Rock Rapids.

My husband Steve is originally from Rock Rapids and graduated from CL in 1991. He currently serves on the Rock Rapids City Council and owns and operates Wells Tax & Accounting. I am originally from Hills, Minnesota so purple and gold are already a common theme for me as a diehard fan of the Minnesota Vikings. We are the proud parents of Ian, a 2019 graduate of CL who is pursuing an education in aviation and airport management at Minnesota State University in Mankato and Sydney, a 2022 graduated of CL and is pursuing a business and entrepreneurial degree at South Dakota State University.

The easiest and fastest way to contact me is through e-mail, jwells@centrallyon.org, which I check throughout the day. You can also reach me at 712-472-2664, ext 303.

My office is located within the high school office area. Please feel free to stop in and see me for any reason.
My door is always open!
