Still Life With Iris
Launch the media gallery 1 playerCentral Lyon first and second grade students attended the production of Still Life With Iris at the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center on the campus of Northwestern College on Thursday, September 26, 2013. The students enjoyed a short bus ride to Orange City for the production. The weather cooperated, and the students were able to eat their sack lunches outside with their friends. After lunch, we were seated in the Black Box Theatre for the production.
Robbed of her past and memories, Iris relies on friends-and a magical button-to find home. The world of Nocturno is a place of beautiful creativity - an example of the way our "real" world should be - where each person pursues their lifework with passion and joy. As Iris struggles to regain her memory, we learn that we are more than a collection of happenings, that all people are unique individuals with specific callings.
The children had a wonderful time at the play. Please ask your child to tell you about their day. Special thanks to Central Lyon School for allowing us to attend this event.
