Girls Wrestling State Qualifiers
The state qualifying wrestlers were honored with a send-off pep rally where Coach Jager praised the entire team for setting a solid foundation for the girls wrestling program. Central Lyon/George-Little Rock had two individuals qualify for state competition during the inaugural 2022-23 season. Super regional competitions were January 27, 2023, in four regional sites located across the state. Louise Meyer placed first and Emerson Kelderman placed second at what Coach Jager referred to as the "most physically and mentally challenging wrestling tournament" he has witnessed. He also stated that the team has exceeded all his expectations this season. The 2023 State Wrestling Tournament is February 2-3 at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
