State Wrestling

CL-GLR wrestlers Trevor, Regan, Evan, and Lane qualified for state wrestling. The state wrestling individual competition took place at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, from February 15-18. The individual district tournament expanded this year to 24 qualifiers per weight class in each classification, eliminating sectional tournaments, with the top two place-winners at each weight advancing to state. Congrats to our 2A qualifiers:
220 - Trevor Dieren 1st
195 - Evan Kruger 2nd
138 - Lane Kruger 2nd
126 - Ragen Hasche 2nd

Iowa High School Sports Network viewers can stream the tournament semifinals (Friday, Feb. 17) and finals (Saturday, Feb. 18) for no cost through their computer or IHSSN apps. For TV viewing, semifinals will be broadcast on IHSSN’s Cable Network and the finals on IHSSN’s Broadcast Network. The IHSAA neither owns nor operates IHSSN.
