Beef Bowl
The football battle of Lyon County between the Central Lyon Lions and the West Lyon Wildcats began in 1964. The game played that day ended in a 0-0 tie. The clash of the county football teams would entertain football fans of Lyon County over the years with many thrilling and hard-hitting games. The Lions vs Wildcats game officially became known as the Beef Bowl in 2006, with the Lyon Country Cattlemen providing burgers for a tailgate at the alternating home site.
