School Board Vacancy

Pursuant to Iowa Code 279.6, the Central Lyon Community School District Board of Education publishes this notice of its intent to appoint a person to fill a vacancy on the Board. Eligible electors of the Central Lyon Community School District have the right to file a petition requiring that this vacancy be filled by special election. Petitions must be received by the board secretary within 14 days after the publication of this notice. If you would like to be considered for appointment to the Central Lyon School Board, complete the application below and return it to Jackie Wells by 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2. The School Board will consider all applications and appoint the new member at the July 8 meeting. Questions regarding the application process can be directed to superintendent Brent Jorth via emailing bjorth@centrallyon.org or calling 712-472-2664.
