Book Club

The Girls Book Club meets once a month on Mondays during FLEX. Girls Book Club is open to any girl in grades 9-12 that would like to join. This year, Book Club is reading a book from different genres every month. The girls are given two options from each genre and vote as a group to decide on the next book to read. At each meeting, the group actively discusses the book from a set of questions that helps foster discussion. At Book Club, everyone is welcome! Book Club members are respectful of each other and their opinions and try to be open to books we think they might not like. Book Club members also enjoy snacks, good discussions and having fun!

"Participating in Girls Book Club is a great way to associate with other friends while discussing our thoughts over a new book. It gives us the opportunity to read books independently rather than being restricted in what we can read. The discussions are full of laughter and the snacks brought are always delicious after a busy day of school. It is a break well needed and something to change your schedule from a regular flex period." ~ written by CL alumni Ellie Dieren
