Today we were "treat"-ed to a super fun Halloween party and stuffed animal day. We had so "munch" fun! We would like to thank Brooke K., Molly O., Ashley V.E., and Terri V. for sending all the supplies we needed to throw a great party. We sure missed having you all here this year and being able to make the memories with us. But from our slideshow pictures you can be reassured that everyone had a "spook-tacular" day! We would like to thank Mrs. Schrick for helping with our party and Wendy, the good witch, for reading the Halloween story, Room on the Broom to both of our 2nd grade classes. Mrs. Herbert always knows how to bring the energy and smiles whether as a substitute teacher or dressed in a silly costume.
The children were welcome to bring their favorite stuffed animal to school for the day and were very excited to snuggle with, read to, and celebrate our Halloween party with them. Our class worked so hard as a team this month to earn paw prints to achieve their monthly whole group ROAR goal! In conjunction with our schoolwide PBIS program, they earned paw prints as a whole group by displaying commendable behaviors (ex. good line basics, reaching classroom, lunchroom, and hallway expectations) and receiving compliments from other staff. When we had a substitute teacher, they earned DOUBLE paw prints and DOUBLE ROAR cards. Last month, they earned a class popcorn party and next month they'll be working towards earning a silly socks day! Woohoo! There's no denyin'....it sure is fun to be a 2nd grade LION!! Keep ROARing, everyone!
