Understanding Our Earth

This month we are studying Topic 4 in Science and learning more about what events cause the earth to change slowly and quickly as well as how people can change the earth.  This afternoon, Mr. Pytleski, our awesome STEM coach, came in to our room with an exciting lab to demonstrate just what this means.  He was very pleased with the students background knowledge on the topic already, which they shared by answering his higher-level questions.  It was fun to hear their predictions and explanations as he challenged their understanding of water pressure, erosion, layers of the earth, absorption, and gravity.  We are so thankful we get to have Mr. Pytleski come in to our classroom each month to enrich what we are learning and also share his love and knowledge of Science!
